La Caixa

La Caixa selected the e-Factura platform for its own electronic invoicing and that of its customers.

La Caixa, the third largest bank in Spain, now has over 300,000 business customers, of which 100,000 are using the electronic banking services that it offers.

Every year, La Caixa receives 600,000 invoices from some 60,000 different suppliers; a special situation which needs the capacity to handle the various paper and electronic formats its partners send.

To optimise invoice handling, La Caixa awarded its CaixaFactura project to Seres. The objective was to implement an invoice issuing and receiving service, able to handle any kind of paper or electronic format, within the bank and the company's subsidiaries, and then to incorporate this service into the range of electronic banking services that La Caixa sells to its BtoB customers.

These days running live, the unique system that we developed for La Caixa is based on our own e-Facture electronic invoicing platform. The CaixaFactura system is used to centralise all invoices received or issued by La Caixa, regardless of their format, and to make them available to the bank in the desired format on a unique monitoring portal customised for La Caixa.

The results are financial savings, improved transfer time, reduced storage space, and a significant reduction in administrative work for its employees.

To expand its electronic banking product range and to enable its customers to benefit from CaixaFactura, the Spanish bank is now offering this service to its own customers.
