The GDS network for GS1 France: Seres was selected following a call for tenders by GS1 France, the organisation in charge of defining and distributing coding and communication standards for the retail sector (bar codes, EDI, standardised languages etc.) to create, implement, host and operate the GDS network.

LA POSTE DAPO: The Procurement Department at LA POSTE (the French postal service) wanted to optimise order and stock management for products sold in its post offices and related networks and for support products (printed forms, supplies, furniture, clothing, etc.) Seres helped it set up an EDI solution in ASP mode, enabling commercial and logistic flow exchanges between all the players involved.

Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries: Seres has developed and hosts a beef traceability system on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. This system is the response to the European requirement to maintain a national database on all cattle movements.

The FOCAL POINT is a single contact point designed to receive all electronic notifications from cattle owners (traders, beef calf integrators). The data exchanged are used to consolidate this national database, used by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is then used for checking purposes, for converting to the required formats, debatching and distributing notifications to the local breeding establishment in question, and for data routing and storage.
