Continued growth for Seres!
At the start of the month, Seres took over the ADR/ADC software publishing business of Selisa/LadServices, a subsidiary of Doc@post.
With the acquisition of Edixis last February, enabling Seres to develop its offer for dematerialization solutions related to temporary work, the takeover of Selisa means Seres is now able to provide solutions for document and data management requirements, regardless of whether paper or electronic media are used.
Such diversification is part of our desire to offer our clients solutions matching all their dematerialisation requirements, however far-reaching.
Our offers are not only complementary - Seres’ solutions are now also fully integrated in the global offer from the Doc@post holding, set up just over a year ago by the La Poste group. Additionally, in this newsletter, we will present feedback from Butagaz who, thanks to Doc@post, is able to outsource all of its document and data management projects via a single partner.
We hope you enjoy your read and we remain available if you have any comments or suggestions to make: info@seres.fr.
Seres Buys out SELISA’s Software Publishing Business
Actu Seres October 2008
On 3rd November 2008, Seres finalised the takeover of the ADR/ADC software editor business of Selisa/Ladservices, another subsidiary of Doc@post.
The Selisa/Ladservices business taken over by Seres is one of the main players on the French market for Automatic Document Capture (ADC) software publishing. Its solutions are renowned for their capacity to scan and index any kind of document.
The software business employs 20 people and thus becomes part of the Seres group, integrating the subsidiary Seres ASV set up in 2007 and specialised until now in the development of video coding systems.
In addition to Seres ASV’s own offer, this new business will be naturally associated with other product lines in the Seres group to put together a unique package on the market for the dematerialisation of flows, combining dematerialisation at source by EDI and dematerialisation of paper flows, in particular for in-coming invoices.
The Seres group will thus continue to market ADC software and will shortly be able to offer new ranges based on this software.
Thanks to these new solutions, Seres’ clients can now work with a single partner to manage their dematerialized processes, regardless of whether their flows are electronic or on paper.

Secure your e-mail exchanges with our solution : Doc@mail !
Seres is pursuing its strategy to diversify while maintaining its sole objective to offer you a range of solutions to optimise and secure your exchanges. Alongside the standardised, automated exchanges between information systems enabled by EDI solutions, electronic messages have also become indispensable working tools for intra-company and inter-company exchanges between people.
However, traditional messages still do not offer all the security guarantees you require for your daily business. This reason is why Seres has developed a secured mail box offer: Doc@mail!
Doc@mail is a secured webmail service that is as simple and universal as e-mail but which overcomes the issues of integrity, authenticity, confidentiality and security of exchanges to allow its users to exchange sensitive documents in a totally confidential manner, including sales contracts, minutes from executive committee meetings, price lists, minutes from board meetings etc.
Thanks to the use of authentification technologies, flow securisation, message coding, antivirus software, and electronic signature services, Doc@mail is an essential solution for securing your e-mail exchanges, letting you send documents with no limit on volume!

e-Factura: a widely-used solution within the primary sector
A few months ago, Seres Mexico received approval from the SAT (Tributary Administration Service in Mexico) to implement its e-Factura solution within companies in the primary sector.
Following approval, our Mexican subsidiary was exclusively entitled to issue the first electronic invoice as part of the new tax resolution (l.2.5.1 of the Resolución Miscelánea Fiscal), concerning electronic invoices in the primary sector.
Thanks to this new regulation, companies in the industrial sector may now, on condition that they use a SAT-approved electronic invoice solution, deduct 100% of their purchases from suppliers in the primary sector.
It is therefore down to these companies (who process raw materials and market their products) to subscribe to an approved dematerialization solution, and not the responsibility of the raw material producer. With this new resolution, the responsibility for issuing electronic invoices is shared between the producer, the raw material processing company and the supplier of the approved solution, but the administrative liability is fully shouldered by the latter two.
Seres Mexico is today one of the SAT-approved suppliers with the largest number of operational clients for its e-Factura solution.

Butagaz Success Story

Béatrice Concordia is project manager, in charge of implementing tax-compliant dematerialization solutions within Butagaz. She explains the general project to overhaul the client back office at Butagaz, which was entrusted to Doc@post and which includes a tax-compliant paperless aspect.
